J-Rock

The sound quality is pretty awful, but this video is rather amazing.

Slightly more on topic, thesixtyone member puntspeedchunk has seen fit to create a fan podcast for the website, and seeing as that he happens to live in Tokyo and we happen to play in Tokyo every so often, we, your humble hosts, have been featured on the inaugural episode as interviewees. He tracked us down at Yaneura in Shibuya this weekend and squeezed some nonsense out of myself and Daisuke. He also brought along a photographer friend, so there will be photos later. Photos! Yaneura

Here is the feed url for the podcast: http://feeds.feedburner.com/libsyn/aSnO You can hear our discombobulated jibber-jabbering at around the thirty minute mark. Open it in iTunes or your RSS reader of choice and bask in our collective shame.

Anyway, thanks for the love, Bryan.

Also, bonus 026 remix.

A surfeit of videos

(A surfeit is also, amusingly, the collective noun for skunks.)

My girlfriend Atsuko has posted several short clips she’s taken on her digital camera under the nom de plume of fromkobetoyou on YouTube. Mostly they capture odd live situations (which inevitably occur whenever we venture forth from our secret mountain base to distribute joy and candy to the masses).

My personal favorite is this one, of a young lady whose name has long since been lost in the nether regions of my leaky skull. I had a good chat with her and her father and learned that not only is she a highly skilled dancer, as can be seen below, but she is completely fluent in both Japanese and English, as her father is from Britain. Would that I could say the same…

The hits keep coming!

As I mentioned way back in April, we did a little spot for KTV’s Mujack show. Here it is in its entirety:
