Yesterday Bad News Records’ Ishoni Utaou! NHK Minna-no Uta was released. Minna-no Uta is a long-running interstitial animated music segment on NHK. There are two CDs in this release: the “children’s version,” featuring the original songs, as well as an “adult version” featuring covers of the same by various artists. The song Metropolitan Museum inspired former Hidari member Yoma to write the song Time Travel wa Tanoshi (Time Travel is Fun), so it is only fitting that we have covered the very same song for this album.

The two CDs are available separately or as a discounted box set at your local Tower Records JP or at Amazon.

Also, there is a new (and greatly simplified!) BBS up. Go post something so we don’t feel quite so pathetic.

The store has also had a minor makeover and is now accepting bank transactions within Japan, not that that is something that any of you will (or should) care.

Finally, we are wishing for peoples who may have purchased our shirts to send us digital photographs of yourself or somebody famous in whatever bizarre location or scenario you wish (the bizarre-er the better, naturally). Eventually these will be displayed somewhere on the site a la MC Frontalot’s “Gallery of Cute Girls Wearing My Shirt” (yes, which we are shamelessly ripping off).
